This sale is for the very nice Vintage GRISWOLD Cast Iron SKILLET # 9 LARGE BLOCK LOGO 710 C w/ Heat Ring. Excellent working condition with a factory flaw! The skillet measures 11 inches in diameter 2 1/4 inches tall and weighs 4 pounds 8.5 ounces. Very good to excellent condition, very slight wobble no spin, no chips, cracks or rusting, minor utensil scratches. The flaw is shown in the photos, looks to be a small run in the casting and there is some light grind marks where it was reshaped on the corner. It is not bad and won’t effect the cooking procedures and it is mentioned for full disclosure. The skillet is cleaned for collector consideration and is unseasoned for profession chefs who prefer to use their own methods. Please view photos carefully, the pictures were taken outdoors in sunlight and the iron will be a darker gray to black when indoors. Please note we only clean cast iron cook ware that needs it. If the seasoning is good we will offer the item that way. Our cleaning is done by electrolysis, then soft wire brushed and steel wooled. Then it is washed clean and giving a thin coat of digestible mineral oil for preservation. It takes a long time to clean these old items but one can clearly see the defects if any.
