Early Unmarked Large Cast Iron Oval Shallow Long Pan Excel Restored Condition
Unmarked cast iron shallow long pan that features dual gate marks and an “X” on top of one of the handles. Pan is in excellent restored condition and date from the late 1890s to 1900s. Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hours. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light. Photos are part of the item’s description.
