For your consideration is this beautiful old #12 cast iron skillet from Griswold. It features a heat ring along with Griswold’s large block logo and was produced in the 1920’s in Erie, Pennsylvania. Larger skillets like this are difficult to come by. The cooking surface has a few faint pits closer to the helper tab and some very light etching in the center. Still very smooth with some polishing swirls still showing. The bottom has a crisp logo with detailed lettering surrounding it. The handle has a loop for hanging and size number 12 marked on top. Opposite the handle is a helper tab for easy two-handed lifting. This skillet sits flat with subtle movement when the handle is lifted (corrected by a single business card). Does not spin on a glass cooktop. Cleaned with electrolysis and scrubbed to bare iron, then seasoned 3 times. Ready to use or display.
