Large Antique Cast Iron Grate Floor Register & Surround Frame Vent Salvage. It has been used for more than 125 years and the louver still functions. This was in my 2 flat graystone until recently. There is rust and is dirty. The floor register frame surround is cracked and chipped (please see picture) but is sturdy. The flaps are numbered 10 & 14 (please see pictures). I do not think its marked. The frame surround measures 16″ W x 20-1/8″ L. The opening for the surround measures 10-3/4″ W X 14-3/4″ L. The register measures 12″ W x 15-3/4″ L and the opening measures 9-1/2″ W x 13-1/2″ L. Please note that I took photos outside which makes the register look very gold which it is not that gold.

Nice large antique cast iron heat grate register with louvers. It is marked Tuttle & Bailey MFGCO N. It’s painted in a white, with some pale green over the original black finish. There is no cracks or breaks. The louvers are complete and do function as they should. Could be used for a cold air return. Overall, in very good condition. Please look over the pictures below and ask question when needed. Thanks for your interest. Overall – 18 1/4″ x 26 3/4″ X 3 1/4. Rough opening- 16″ x 24 1/2″ weight is 47Lbs.

This cast iron floor grate or floor vent done in the Victorian way with a center diamond pattern is in nice, used condition. 22 1/4″ across the long way, 17 5/8″ the narrow way, and a maximum depth of 1/2. The inside measurement is 20 1/4″ by 16″. You can also see in the pictures that it has been painted numerous times over the years. You are getting it the same way I found it. It weighs almost 12 3/4 pounds all by itself. Please look at all the pictures as they are part of the description also.
