This is a great, early, cast iron miniature cook stove. Quite likely a salesman sample because of the detail of the piece. Large size complete (missing top of water reservoir I believe). Original patina or nickel plating with all the original castings. Retains stove fitted handle and also matching fancy decorated hot water pot. Shows the original patina, cast iron has aged a bit and oxidized over time. Fancy decorated stove with no cracks, chips, or repairs. Approximate dimensions: 17″ x 9″ x 17 – 1/2. Early Unmarked Large Cast Iron Oval Shallow Long Pan Excel Restored Condition
Unmarked cast iron shallow long pan that features dual gate marks and an “X” on top of one of the handles. Pan is in excellent restored condition and date from the late 1890s to 1900s. Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hours. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light. Photos are part of the item’s description. Vintage Griswold 17 1/2 inch very LARGE pot.. Looks like an “8” on bottom. There are some smaller letters or numbers also, which are difficult to make out due to corrosion etc pitting? Looks to have been painted and has the drainage holes that someone drilled in the bottom in order to use it as a planter. Griswold co est 1881, started manufacturing in 1891. Antique Early 19th Century Large Cast iron Cooking Pot Tripod
Early 19th century-and quite possibly late 18th century based on the overall casting, handle design and triangular legs-flat bottomed cooking pot with a fixed, wrought iron handle, and swivel hanging ring. This pot was designed to hang from a fireplace crane and cook over an open flame. Note the unusual method of securing the handle to the cast brackets on the side of the pot. A flat tab was looped over the bracket and then secured in place by an iron pin. One of the tabs (see photos) has corroded on the bottom but the forged attachments are quite solid and intact. The entire handle assembly is rock solid and the hanging loop swivels freely. The pot has been stripped and re-seasoned and is in excellent, ready to use condition. The pot measures 11″ diameter at the base and 13″ across at the upper rim. It is 4 deep. The handle projects approx. 8 above the top rim.
