Vintage Griswold Erie Pennsylvania Large No 718 A #14 Cast Skillet
For your consideration is a vintage and large Griswold #718 A cast iron skillet. It measures 2.5″ high, has a length of 21 3/8″ from the tip of the handle to the opposite side, a width of 16.5 from spout to spout, and weights over 9 pounds. It is in pretty good vintage/used condition with signs of wear, such as grease stains. We always take plenty of photos and provide detailed descriptions of our items. Up for sale is a beautiful Griswold 80 Cast Iron Double Skillet with a large logo, model numbers 1102 & 1103. This skillet set has been restored to its original glory, with a surface coating of Crisco that is ready to be used. These pans are made of high-quality cast iron. The brand is highly renowned for producing high-quality cookware. Get your hands on this great piece and add it to your collection! Pans are in great condition with some utensil marks and micro pitting on the cooking surface (see photos). Both skillets sit dead flat on glass stovetop, no wobble. Skillets are restored using a combination electrolysis, lye, and vinegar to strip it back to bare metal. Once stripped, the pans are seasoned 3 times with vegetable shortening.
