Large Antique Cast Iron Grate Floor Register & Surround Frame Vent Salvage. It has been used for more than 125 years and the louver still functions. This was in my 2 flat graystone until recently. There is rust and is dirty. The floor register frame surround is cracked and chipped (please see picture) but is sturdy. The flaps are numbered 10 & 14 (please see pictures). I do not think its marked. The frame surround measures 16″ W x 20-1/8″ L. The opening for the surround measures 10-3/4″ W X 14-3/4″ L. The register measures 12″ W x 15-3/4″ L and the opening measures 9-1/2″ W x 13-1/2″ L. Please note that I took photos outside which makes the register look very gold which it is not that gold.
