Antique GRISWOLD LARGE ECCENTRIC KETTLE Pan Cast Iron, #8, “ERIE” #817, SCARCE! Large letter emblem with slant writing. Pot is a number 8 and the manufacturing number is “ERIE” 817. Pan has a “lip” on the base that allows the pan to fit down into an old style wood burning stove. Measures 8-1/2″ tall x 10-1/2″ diameter. There’s a metal ring on the front center to hang the pot… Or whatever you want.. It’s been used… See the picture of the outside bottom… Maybe on a woodstove? There’s one small (1/4″ long) “ding on the bottom outer edge… Bumped against something along the way?? Can be seen in the last photo, on the right side… It’s small and hardly noticeable. Interior is clean, smoothe, seasoned. No cracks or damage. This kettle is pictured in the 1891 catalog and referred to as a LARGE ECCENTRIC KETTLE.
