1870 Cast Iron George Washington Large Coin Plaque Advertising
This is a rare find. It is believed to have been mounted in/on a bank, since this is a large coin advertisement. There are 2 mount holes on each side. 19th century cast iron bust portrait plaque of George Washington. A superb and very rare piece. The plaque is in its original state, never painted. The plaque which is 21 in diameter without the wood backing. Thick and very heavy. Comes from a pet and smoke free home. Vintage GRISWOLD Cast Iron SKILLET # 9 LARGE BLOCK LOGO 710 C w/ Heat Ring. Smooth & Clean MFG Flaw. This sale is for the very nice Vintage GRISWOLD Cast Iron SKILLET # 9 LARGE BLOCK LOGO 710 C w/ Heat Ring. Excellent working condition with a factory flaw! The skillet measures 11 inches in diameter 2 1/4 inches tall and weighs 4 pounds 8.5 ounces. Very good to excellent condition, very slight wobble no spin, no chips, cracks or rusting, minor utensil scratches. The flaw is shown in the photos, looks to be a small run in the casting and there is some light grind marks where it was reshaped on the corner. It is not bad and won’t effect the cooking procedures and it is mentioned for full disclosure. The skillet is cleaned for collector consideration and is unseasoned for profession chefs who prefer to use their own methods. Please view photos carefully, the pictures were taken outdoors in sunlight and the iron will be a darker gray to black when indoors. Please note we only clean cast iron cook ware that needs it. If the seasoning is good we will offer the item that way. Our cleaning is done by electrolysis, then soft wire brushed and steel wooled. Then it is washed clean and giving a thin coat of digestible mineral oil for preservation. It takes a long time to clean these old items but one can clearly see the defects if any. We never sand blast as this will ruin a polished surface. Please note that your satisfaction is very important to us. New ones to fit our unique items when. Thank you for understanding. Vintage Pink Flamingo Cast Iron Large Figures Garden Decor Heavy RARE. This is a rare find. This charming pair is perfect for flamingo lovers looking to add a touch of fun and elegance to their outdoor space. They were painted at one time but could use a redo. There was a missing bolt that we replaced on one of the legs. They have rivets to keep them standing but wobble when moved. I don’t know how to tighten them. If the other leg is touching the base it stands fine. Missing paint and rust spots. They each weigh 20 lbs. Measurements- 24″ H x 16″ x 6″ D, 18″ H x 15″ x 6″.
