RARE HUBLEY BORZOI WOLFHOUND CAST IRON DOG DOORSTOP STATUE ART SCULPTURE. This is a spectacular and RARE – very hard – very very hard to find Hubley Antique Large Cast Iron 16 Borzoi – Russian Wolfhound doorstop statue art sculpture. This is listed in “The Doorstop Book” by John C and Nancy M Smith – Page 139 bottom left corner. This was made in 2 sizes. This is the larger 9″ x 16″ – same color as the one listed in the book. This is also listed in the Chicago 1931 Shure Catalog (see additional photos). Great attention to detail – there is no repaint on this beautiful doorstop. Original cream pain that is just worn with age- this is in excellent aged condition for when this was made. No breaks no damage and the seams are very tight. Original Cast Iron School, Church, Farm Bell, 17 1/2 Diam, #3. Wonderful Original large cast iron church, school or farm bell. The bell is estimated circa late 1800’s. The bell has its original patina (non-cleaned). All parts appear to be there. Looks to have had a few very old repairs on some of the support hardware (Pictured). The original patina is gorgeous but one could always restore if they wish. The bell appears to have been made in Jackson mich, I can’t make out the name of the foundry Imprint. There is a #3 motif scattered in some of the parts and believe this to be a reference to size as old coffee grinders used the same reference. Im not a bell expert or collector but will try and answer any questions as best I can. The bell is very heavy, all the parts appear to be cast Iron with the exception of the long bolt that holds the large cast Iron ball. The bell measures 17 1/2 inches diameter. Thanks you for looking!
