Wonderful original cast Iron early 1900s arts & crafts Mission porch/wall light. The light has had new wiring installed, the porcelain socket is the original and light works perfectly. The majority of the fixture is cast iron, the glass is a highly detailed amber shade with a metal (most likely Tin) top cover. The fixture is original with the exception of the new wires. The light is circa 1900s- 1920s. There are layers of old paint with aging patina and flaking/Peeling scattered throughout. The scone is gorgeous as is or a great candidate for painting a specific desired color, either way the fixture is going to be stunning on your restoration project. The cast iron metal is very intact. The finish is original as found, we do not alter the natural aging of antiques if it all possible. The blown caged glass globe is a darker amber in color and in the shape of a torch flame. There are natural imperfections in the glass such as speckling and air bubbles and line striations, there are a few slight scrapes/scratches in the glass from use but no cracks or major damage. The globe set screws s are very functional. The globe simply rests inside the cup and the 3 set screws tighten up to the glass and the caged wire holds it in place. This light is extremely old and has imperfections but overall a very beautiful original surviving cast iron mission/tudor light and worthy of any application were authenticity is a must. This gorgeous light has been given a new life and ready for another to enjoy. Measures- 15 1/4′” inches Tall x 6″ diameter x 8 outward from wall. Original mounting hardware that was with the light will be included. Any further mounting hardware will need to be determined and provided by the new owner and/or their contractor. Thank you for looking! NOTE- As with any antique lighting, always have inspected prior to use for safety and installed by a qualified professional.
